Coaching Philosophy: Help each player attain individual skill and experience necessary to play at NCAA Division I level and above. Prepare the team to compete at the National level; teach the players team strategy. Instill qualities that each player will need in any environment: (a) Pride, self-confidence and self-esteem; (b) Taking responsibility for actions and performance; (c) self-discipline; and (d) Sportsmanship, cooperation and sacrifice for team benefit, not the individual’s. Winning is not the first priority, until State and Nationals. Players learn most from losing, not winning. Making mistakes is one of the most important tools to achieve success. We will try to win every game, but as long as each game is a learning experience, it is a victory.
